Soft Drinks

Hi! Today's blog is going to be about drinks students should be allowed to drink or not. Nowadays, people believe that school cafetirias should stop selling soft drinks and other high-sugar drinks. However, others think students should have a choice in what they drink. I am writing this blog because I want to share my own opinion about this. The most important fact about soft drinks I found on the health website is that there are not only many harmful effects of soda, but there are not even any positive benefits to outweigh them. It harms our teeth and a body in general, "drinking soda regularly causes plaque to build up on the teeth and can lead to cavities and gum disease". To my mind, students from the upper school should be able to make their own decisions in what they drink, as it is an essential part in everybody's life to become an independent adult. On the other hand, elementary and middle schoolers should not have a choice in what they drink. I think, their parents should decide for them. Parents will be able to evaluate all the cons and pros of high-sugar drinks for their children and make a decision. The school's soda fountain should require a special card, the one which will recognize a student and give him a choice of drinks he is allowed to drink. Have you ever thought about it? What if in the future, maybe in 100 years from now, all American schools will have such a machine. I hope the government will notice this blog and consider my ideas. What do you all think? Let me know!

My week

Hi, everybody. This week is a busy one for me, but I still found some time to tell you about it. This week is a little bit different from others because I am presenting my Junior Project this Friday. I made two chairs which look nicely and smooth. I have already painted them and even varnished. I crafted them during weekends in fall. So, this week I have to revise and practice my speech a lot, not to fail in front of the whole school. I also have a great number of homework which requires me to write and read a lot. By the way, I am not worrying about my presentation that much, as I am worrying about my AP Biology test. I have the first half of my test tomorrow and the second one on Friday. However, I have to take my second part of a test during my free period! It is not only me but the whole class! My teacher says we are very far behind, so we have to find some free time to take the test. Unfortunately, I do not have any free period. Thus, I will have to take it after school! I think this week is pretty difficult for me, but I am sure that after the project everything will become easier. So, what do you thing about my project and a week in general? Let me know! I hope you liked my blog, and I will be waiting for your comments!

Christmas Break

Hi, everyone. I came back from Christmas break 4 days ago, and I spent a wonderful time there! I saw and hanged out with parents, girlfriend, and friends all the time. Everybody was so delighted to see me after such a long time in America. After I arrived to Ukraine, my girlfriend had already been waiting for me in the airport. In two minutes being with her, I was smothered me with kisses. At home, I found out that she had cooked plenty of food which was waiting for me. There were so many delicious dishes. I was very excited to see her. During the break, I was at so many quest rooms I have never been before, as I had been staying in Kiev, not in Cherkassy where I am from, almost for the whole holiday. We escaped from every single room we were in, and it was a lot of fun! We were at "Save the Hostage,""Corrupt official," "Jailbreak," and other rooms. Also, I decided to celebrate my birthday which was in October with my Ukrainian friends. I will tell you more about it in my next blog. By the way, we had had plenty of snow in Ukraine when I came. Once, staying near a tall building and being on a phone, a big pile of snow fell near me and my girlfriend! Fortunately, we are still alive and everything is fine with us. I did not miss school at all, as I had a really nice break. I hope the school year will end quickly, and I will be back home again! What about you all, guys? What did you do? I hope you will have an awesome 2018 year and don't forget to write me a comment!

10 things I am thankful for

Hi, everybody! Have you ever wondered about at least 10 things you are thankful for? Thanksgiving is coming, and it is time to contemplate about those 10 things. The first thing I am thankful for is for my parents who have given me a wonderful gift - my birth. They have brought me up and always support. The second thing is my health - my body which never lets me down. The third thing is the opportunity to be able to study abroad and receive a nice education. The fourth thing I am thankful for is people's relationship to me. Many people are very friendly to me and never offend. The fifth thing is my friends. Having real friends means having a wonderful and fun life without any boredom. The sixth thing is my family's and my girlfriend's love to me. Without any love, I would become very evil and strict. The seven's thing is nature: including water, air, sun, and the Earth. Absence of nature would result in no life on the planet at all. The eighth thing I am thankful for is the opportunity to self-develop as it helps me to become enlightened. The ninth thing is Ukraine, my native country, where I was born and in which I live. The final thing I am thankful for is the morning which always brings me a good mood and inspiration for the rest of the day.
What about the 10 things you are grateful for? Which one is the most important to you? As for me, I am the most thankful to my parents, as they are also the only people who will never betray and wish only the best. Let me know!

My Junior Project

Hi, everybody! Did you miss my blogs? I did not miss them too. Do you know anything about my Junior Project? This winter I will have to present it in front of the whole school. So, what I decided to make are two big comfy chairs which, maybe, are going to be connected to the table between each other. A month or three weeks ago, I got all the wood I need to make my masterpiece. Thanks to Mrs. O'Neil and Mr. O'Neil who agreed to drive me to the Lowe's. After that, we even went to a some kind of fast food restaurant. Nevertheless, I am very grateful to them. Other people I am very grateful to are Mr. and Mrs. Berzinskas. They let me use their tools and work in their house. Mr. Berzinskas showed me all the tools he had and demonstrated me how to use some of them. So, last week I sawed my wood in pieces I planned to and even started doing the sides of the chair! Right now the project looks awesome! Also I am thinking about varnishing it, but we will see. I hope you like my idea of the project! Let me know what you think and see you next week!

Iphone X

Hi, everyone! This is my third blog this school year, and today I want to talk about the Iphone X presentation I watched previous week. I was very excited for it and could not wait for it to start, as I love Apple and want to buy their new phone. The phone I have right now is Iphone 6, and it is very laggy. Also it runs out of battery really quickly! It does not last  even 1 hour anymore! So, that's why I waited for the presentation to start so much. Generally speaking, I waited only for Iphone 8, but Apple also presented the new Iphone X, which they actually call Iphone 10. The new Iphone is much better than its descenders, but it costs 999$. Nevertheless, I will still buy it! The new edge-to-edge screen is stupendous, the new front-facing camera became more powerful, and Iphone does not have the main button anymore! You may ask, "How will we use the the touch id then?" Iphone X does not have it anymore, but now includes face id which easily recognizes the owner's face and unlocks the phone. I think Iphone X is the future of the smartphone and a new step towards new discoveries! I hope you liked my blog and will answer me what you think about the presentation yourself!

My weekend

Hi, everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty fine. I did not do anything special, but I liked it. On Friday evening, I played soccer with my Russian, Korean, and some American friends. We did not have a lot of people because many were at the football game that evening, but we still had a lot of fun. After soccer, Mrs. O'Neil, my brother, another 3 guys, and I decided to play Munchkin. It is such a great board game! It is about dungeons, dragons, and adventure! We spent something around three hours for only one game! The day was about to end, but our football team still did not return. Because Mrs. O'Neil is my dorm parent, we stayed in the Commons Room until late night. We played pool the whole time. When the football team returned, I found out that our team won, and I was very proud of them. Next day, I was doing my homework almost the whole time and went to the sushi trip in the evening. I love sushi! Then, my brother and I bought a new PlayStation game and played it pretty long the next day. The game is called "The Escapists 2." That's a game where you have to make a jailbreak! That is awesome! Especially when playing with a friend! So, that's how I spent my weekend. What about yours? Please write your own blog about your weekend and share it with me!
